A woman who was diagnosed with advanced ovarian cancer believes she owes her life to a major breakthrough by doctors at the Mater Hospital which means patients like her are 70% less likely to die three years after the operation.
Jeannine Davis (44), from Coolock, Dublin, was diagnosed in May 2017 after developing a swollen stomach. She was initially told it was irritable bowel syndrome.
